TS/SCI jobs in Maryland: compare the work

The titles below link to the full qualifications. You can apply from here, or read through a role first if you want to check the required years of experience and education.

Software engineering

The software positions run from junior to principal level. The stack matters here: some require Java and Python, another requires Python and C++, and some call for PySpark. The role page separates those requirements.

  • Junior Software Engineer — Level 1
  • Software Engineer — Level 2
  • Application Developer — Level 2
  • Senior Java Developer — Level 3
  • Principal Software Engineer — Level 4

The AI Engineer openings were reviewed October 11, 2026; the other roles were reviewed September 28, 2026. An opening may have changed since then, so we need to confirm availability, the requisition, and compensation with you before submission.

Fort Meade and Annapolis Junction: check the actual worksite

These positions support the Fort Meade area, including some assignments near Annapolis Junction. Before you plan a move, we should talk about where you would actually report to work and what the schedule would be. “Maryland” covers a lot of ground when you have to make the drive every day.

The Junior Software Engineer and Application Developer listings say no telework. The Senior AI Engineer positions are onsite in Fort Meade. Onsite expectations for the other assignments need to be confirmed with the recruiter.

Ask about role fit and location

How to find cleared jobs?

Look for a job that names the clearance, worksite, and experience it needs. That lets you rule out positions that cannot work for you before spending time on an application. Here, you can follow a role link to its qualifications or ask us to review your fit if you are unsure.

These openings require active TS/SCI. Our recruiter will confirm customer acceptance and site access for the specific billet.

Send an unclassified resume, with no intelligence products or classified material attached. Customer-access details should be discussed directly with the recruiter through the appropriate channels. Our security clearance jobs guide explains more about the clearance side of the search.

What jobs can you get with a TS SCI?

The openings here include TDNA, DNEA, TAR, software, and AI engineering work. You need the clearance for these positions, but the experience requirement will determine which ones are worth discussing.

For example, if your SIGINT work involved researching targets and following communications over time, look at TDNA. If you spent those years drafting and editing intelligence reports, read the TAR requirements. A resume that explains those duties helps us much more than a specialty code on its own.

Education can also change which levels fit. Some TDNA and TAR levels accept a high school diploma or GED plus the listed years of relevant experience. The DNEA openings require a relevant degree. Those paths are on the individual role pages, including how much experience each level calls for.

Do cleared jobs pay more?

We cannot promise that a cleared position will pay more than another job you are considering. There is no single cleared salary: a junior developer and a senior analyst are doing different work under different requirements. We can discuss the range for a particular requisition and where your experience fits.

When you compare offers, include the benefits and schedule, and think about the commute you would be taking on. Our DNEA salary guide and Fort Meade software salary guide give you background for that conversation. A guide range is context; the recruiter has to confirm the compensation for your opening.
