Secure AI Automation Readiness Assessment

Is Your Workflow Ready for AI Automation?

Evaluate one high effort workflow across business value, process clarity, data readiness, AI suitability, security, governance, and operational integration. Receive immediate scores, critical risk flags, and a practical recommended next step.

Designed for organizations that may require private models, structured output, human review, enterprise integration, and clear operational control.

A workflow level decision

What the Assessment Evaluates

Business Value

Does the workflow consume enough skilled time, create enough delay, or affect enough operational risk to justify automation?

Process and Knowledge

Is the work documented, repeatable, and supported by examples of acceptable outcomes?

Data Readiness

Are the inputs accessible, usable, representative, and authorized for the proposed purpose?

AI Suitability

Can the task be expressed clearly, evaluated reliably, and returned in a useful structured format?

Security and Governance

Are the data boundary, access controls, human approvals, accountability, and audit requirements understood?

Integration and Operations

Can the workflow connect to existing systems, operate reliably, recover from failures, and be supported after deployment?

A workflow can have strong economic potential while still requiring preparation before a pilot. The assessment therefore calculates separate Opportunity and Implementation Readiness scores.

Before the scored questions

Choose One Workflow

Evaluate one workflow with a recognizable trigger, set of inputs, analysis or decision process, expected output, and responsible owner. Do not score an entire department or organization.

How the Assessment Works

The assessment separates business opportunity from implementation readiness. A valuable workflow may still require better data access, stronger evaluation, clearer governance, or improved integration before a pilot. A technically mature workflow may also be a poor automation investment if the volume, delay, or operational impact is too low.

The six dimensions examine value, repeatability and knowledge, data access and authority, fit for AI assisted analysis, security and human governance, and the path into reliable operations.

View the Scoring Method
  • Each response is scored from 0 to 4.
  • Dimension scores are normalized to 100.
  • Opportunity and Readiness scores use documented weights.
  • Critical prerequisites can override the ordinary recommendation.
  • Results are generated by deterministic rules.
  • No language model is required to score the assessment.
Planning limitation

This assessment is a planning tool. It is not a legal, security, privacy, compliance, procurement, architecture, or investment determination. Production decisions require review of the actual data, systems, obligations, controls, users, and operating environment.

A high score does not mean that a workflow should operate without human accountability or review.

Frequently asked questions

Before You Assess a Workflow

What kind of workflow should I assess?

Assess one workflow with recognizable inputs, steps, outputs, and ownership. Avoid evaluating an entire department or broad transformation program.

Is the assessment free?

Yes. Visitors can complete the assessment and view all results without creating an account.

Do I need to enter sensitive information?

No. Do not enter customer information, vulnerabilities, system identifiers, protected data, internal project names, or other sensitive details.

Does a high score mean the workflow should be fully autonomous?

No. Many production workflows should use AI for analysis, triage, drafting, prioritization, or recommendation while retaining human accountability for consequential actions.

Does the assessment support private or local AI deployment?

Yes. The assessment considers whether public managed models, controlled enterprise APIs, private cloud models, or local deployment may be appropriate.

What happens after I complete it?

You receive immediate Opportunity and Implementation Readiness scores, dimension results, critical flags, and recommended next steps. You may optionally request a workflow review from GS Consulting.

What can GS Consulting help implement?

GS Consulting can help with workflow discovery, data intake, private model deployment, knowledge codification, structured output, validation, orchestration, system integration, monitoring, human review, and production implementation.
